Roblox has announced the creation of its first Parent and Caregiver Council to bring parents and caregivers into the conversation around platform safety, civility, and family experience. Up to forty participants from the United States, Canada, Mexico, and European countries will be selected for this inaugural council. These members will work directly with internal Roblox teams to provide feedback on policies, product features, and user experience improvements.

Much like Roblox’s Teen Council, which already offers insights from younger users, the Parent Council is intended to serve as a bridge between families and the company. The council will meet quarterly to raise concerns, suggest enhancements, and champion digital well-being for children across Roblox’s global community.

Applicants must have familiarity with Roblox, English proficiency, and residency within the eligible regions. The term runs from January through December 2026. Roblox expects to expand to other regions in the future.

Roblox frames this initiative as part of its ongoing civility and safety efforts. Earlier this year the company created a Head of Parental Advocacy role and rolled out updates to its parental controls. By elevating parental voices, Roblox aims to help families navigate digital challenges and strengthen trust.

The move comes at a time when online platforms are under pressure to show more accountability around youth safety. By formally incorporating parent feedback into its development and policy processes, Roblox seeks to reinforce its commitment to creating a safer interactive environment for younger users.
